[tweetmeme]Oh how overwhelmed we get in our day to day expectations. How in the world are we ever going to accomplish all that we need to? We are going and going from the time we wake and are exhausted at the end of our day. Yet, who is going to clean up, organize your desk papers, and do all the errands that never got accomplished. There just isn’t enough time in the day. How does everyone else do it?
Well, first of all there are a few thoughts that can keep you going strong. One is that there are successful people in the world who HAVE mastered a balanced life and accomplish much more than most of us. So it is possible to do. The second is one that resonates with me – A busy person/successful person never completes their TO DO list. Whew, what a relief! All I have to do is put one foot in front of the other and keep going. Which brings me to the third thought; the more time I spend on what I haven’t done, the less I will be able focus on moving forward.
Maybe it comforts you to know that you are not alone. Most people have more to accomplish than hours in the day. Staying intentional and forward thinking is what has you shrink your list and feel satisfied. Delegating work to your partner or children might help. If your overwhelm is in business, then look for joint venture opportunities such a trading services or partnering in a project. Believe it or not there is a solution to your overwhelm. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. But you won’t get there by facing the opposite direction or by shutting down completely. Face that light and put one foot in front of the other. Even if it’s a baby step today, it will build to more. Just keep going.
The only way out of it is THROUGH it.
