Wherefore Art Thou?

[tweetmeme] Are you waiting for someone or something to come along to rescue you, save you or make your life easier? Have you been waiting to win the lottery, to meet the partner or to have some other occurrence happen that will ‘fix’ things?

During tough times, we tend to go into a fog. We may not be able to function at our optimum due to overwhelm and the weight of our current situation. We may hibernate or retract from that which we need to do the most. For instance, if you don’t have the money to pay your bills, you may ignore them all together in hopes that they will go away or someone will come to save the day.

It would be a great day if either of those would happen. And maybe it will. But one day you may find yourself at the end of your rope saying “apparently no one or nothing is going to help me”. While this may sound discouraging and disappointing, it may be the very thing that changes and/or saves your life.

When we run out of options outside of ourselves, the obvious next step is to tap into our own resource center and begin taking action towards the solution. While you might not think you have it in you to do this, you will be amazed what the right timing combined with the right determination can produce.

Many people have been at the end of their rope before their lives exploded. You can be this person. It will only occur when you give up waiting for something else. It will only happen when your determination is greater than your frustration.

You may feel weak now during this tough time… but rest assured, there is a volcano inside you that is building. You are gaining momentum and muscle and when the time is ripe… you will burst out of your stuckness and be in forward motion. Trust the process of going from dormant to driven. (in a gentle but effective way) Trust that you have what it takes to do this. Because you DO!!

Happy Thursday
