this is who I am this is what I do thrive any way fran asaro‘It’s who I am – It’s what I do’! My sister has been telling people that I was born to be a coach. She facetiously  says that I have been coaching since I was 3, and that people have been coming to me for coaching my entire life. That part is true.

So why then is she so surprised when she shares a dilemma with me and I come up with a solution? I’m not saying that I am right or that I should be doing this… I agree that some people just want to vent… But you know what, as I tell my sister every time it occurs, ‘It’s who I am – It’s what I do’!

So now this has become quite a joke between us… no matter what we do, if one of us is trying to change the other, we use that phrase. Even when it’s just plain silly. So when I talk too much or sing loud and awful and she comments or asks me to stop – my staple comment ‘It’s who I am – It’s what I do’! Try it on your people and have fun!

falling in love with moneyMany of us have a poor relationship with money at some time or another and it’s often due to circumstances beyond our control. Maybe we lost a job or we had a family emergency that took us to our financial knees. Maybe we never learned how to manage money in the first place and our bank accounts are suffering or non existent.

Maybe you blame yourself for not doing enough or being enough to have a positive cash flow. Maybe you blame the world or someone close to you for being the reason you live in lack. Maybe you  think that making money is hard, impossible, or something that someone else has, but not you.

However, if you’ve ever read any spiritual books about money, you must have read that Money is energy and if we retrained ourselves to start the energy flow TOWARDS us instead of AWAY from us we would see a significant difference in our financial world.Wouldn’t it be nice to see money show up easily and without effort?

While attracting money is a simple exercise, it’s not that easy to just change thoughts when we can’t pay a bill or don’t see an end in sight with our debt. That’s why I created this MP3 for those who REALLY want to retrain their thinking but have so much negativity in their lives when it comes to money that they can’t think that positive or affirming thought. I wanted to make it easy to start the ball rolling.

Falling in Love with Money provides 150 Bold and Deliberate declarations with the Law of Attraction philosophy in mind.  It’s not for the faint of heart however. These are statements designed to empower you so be ready to feel a tug if you hear an affirmation that rattles that weak link of yours.   I am also including the PDF version of these affirmation to read along. The more you listen to this and read it, the more you retrain your thinking about money. The more you retrain your thinking, the more positive the results.

Have fun and enjoy loving and attracting loads of money!

Enthusiastically,

Fran

300 affirmations for a positive life I once heard that we listen to what we hear. We process it and our lives are a reflection of what we hear from others and ourselves.  I tested this out once when I recorded my own voice saying things I wanted to hear. I began to feel different as the words penetrated my mind. I have since assigned this exercise to many of my coaching clients with much success. However, not everyone is ready to record their own voice for various reasons, with the most common being, they don’t like the sound of it.

So, I created this MP3 because like many people, life gets filled with negativity and even I need to hear positive thoughts. I recorded 300 affirmations to cover many facets of life to bring new perspectives into all areas.

I truly believe that we can change our thought process by retraining what we allow ourselves to hear and how frequently we hear it. I listened to this mp3 over and over until I felt better. I hope you enjoy this and it makes a difference for you as well. I have also included a downloadable document that you can read along with the audio and maybe one day, you will use it as a template to make your own recording. Enjoy this free download. The Invitation Oriah Mountain DreamerFor those that know me, this is one of my all time favorites to read to inspire my friends, clients and the women from my weekly group. I cry every time I read it because the words challenge me to my core. When we read this in my group, sometimes I have each person read a paragraph. Sometimes I read it myself so I can emphasize for impact. But I almost always ask which is the paragraph that hit them the most. It’s great to see the emotions and the connection as well as the inspiration. I invite anyone to do this with others for a moving time. I am privileged to share this on my page and hope you love it as much as I do.

The Invitation by Oriah
It doesn’t interest me
what you do for a living.
I want to know
what you ache for
and if you dare to dream
of meeting your heart’s longing.

It doesn’t interest me
how old you are.
I want to know
if you will risk
looking like a fool
for love
for your dream
for the adventure of being alive.

It doesn’t interest me
what planets are
squaring your moon…
I want to know
if you have touched
the center of your own sorrow
if you have been opened
by life’s betrayals
or have become shriveled and closed
from fear of further pain.

I want to know
if you can sit with pain
mine or your own
without moving to hide it
or fade it
or fix it.

I want to know
if you can be with joy
mine or your own
if you can dance with wildness
and let the ecstasy fill you
to the tips of your fingers and toes
without cautioning us
to be careful
to be realistic
to remember the limitations
of being human.

It doesn’t interest me
if the story you are telling me
is true.
I want to know if you can
disappoint another
to be true to yourself.
If you can bear
the accusation of betrayal
and not betray your own soul.
If you can be faithless
and therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can see Beauty
even when it is not pretty
every day.
And if you can source your own life
from its presence.

I want to know
if you can live with failure
yours and mine
and still stand at the edge of the lake
and shout to the silver of the full moon,
“Yes.”

It doesn’t interest me
to know where you live
or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up
after the night of grief and despair
weary and bruised to the bone
and do what needs to be done
to feed the children.

It doesn’t interest me
who you know
or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand
in the centre of the fire
with me
and not shrink back.

It doesn’t interest me
where or what or with whom
you have studied.
I want to know
what sustains you
from the inside
when all else falls away.

I want to know
if you can be alone
with yourself
and if you truly like
the company you keep
in the empty moments.

Making Life Easier

easywayhardway

How often do you wish life would be easier? We seem to go in the opposite direction every time we are exhausted or stressed. Some of us rush to get things done so we can relax later but later never comes. Others put off ‘easy’ until later in life. Where in your priorities do you place ease?

What happened to our society that we think busy is better. More is better. When is the last time you stopped to slow down long enough to see how you could make your life more efficient and run more smoothly?

I venture to think that yes, even your life could be made to run easier so that you would feel more relaxed and enjoy it more.

So what does that entail? Well, the first thing is to make the hardest move; to set a time to evaluate your life and see what is causing the ‘hardness’. Then take a look at what could be possible. Do you need support, a plan, or just a few adjustments? You’d be amazed by the results you could produce if you stayed committed to that easier life that we all want and stop paying attention to was doesn’t work.

For today, find a mantra that works towards your life feeling easier. Maybe you could start each day saying ‘how can I improve upon this’? Or ‘I am committed to a life of ease today and every day’. Don’t wait for ‘EASY’ to knock on your door. You’ll want to declare it for yourself and be the reason you have it.

Enjoy today!

Ask Your Coach

Many people come up to me or email me questions about life and business. I love to help them resolve their issues. Often I wish I could share the answer with those who have the same questions. So I am going to begin a segment of this blog called ASK YOUR COACH.

Bring your questions here and I will begin to post the answers. All posts will be anonymous.

You can post your questions below or email me at askyourcoach@thriveanyway.com

I look forward to hearing from you.

Todays question:

Is it a good idea to bring a family member or friend to work in your business?

Great question!  I have had many a family member work with me at my Auto Body shop years ago. It was fun for sure. I do wish I was better equipped at choosing the right person.

Here’s what I ran into.

I hired them for the wrong reasons.

  1. They were family
  2. They needed money
  3. I needed a warm body to help out.

What I didn’t do it have ‘the conversation’ that needed to occur.

  1. Were they qualified? Just because I trusted them, didn’t mean they were qualified
  2. What happened if it didn’t work out
  3. What are both of our expectations
  4. Privileges
  5. Deal breakers

If you are looking to have a friend or family member work with you, invest the time in a solid conversation to save the relationship and your peace of mind. Call in a professional if you need someone to help.

Remember, if you have a question, email askyourcoach@thriveanyway.com

This article will probably raise some eyebrows. I do hope it raises those that could really use it.

Are you over performing in life and possibly underachieving? I work with many people who are out there day after day, beating the pavement, going to workshops, taking classes, organizing, envisioning and doing everything they are being told to do. Often the results are not satisfying. Is that you?

If you’ve been operating at a pace that isn’t yours but you think you need to in order to succeed, think again.

If we are supposed to be doing it someone elses way than why are so many people still struggling? I know there are many people out there who have amazing programs and systems that do work. But if you have tried and tried and it hasn’t, then don’t beat yourself up. While they work for some or many, they don’t work for all.

No need to let that worry you. If you are not succeeding doing it someone else’s way then consider doing it yours! What does that mean? It means to start listening to your own inner guidance system that will show you what to do. Begin sitting in silence and asking and listening for your personal direction. Believe it or not this is the shortest path to your vision. It really is.

Life isn’t supposed to hurt. I see so many people hurting in spite of their actions. Maybe the actions need to be more inspired than received at a seminar.

No one says you have to stop learning. Just be particular about what you allow into your belief system. Does it feel like a good fit? Or does it feel like it may be good for someone else but not for you. It’s ok not to follow a very successful person if it doesn’t feel right.

Today, take some time to plan your own path and feel the difference.

Enthusiastically,

Fran
